Think About Health And Healthy Living – The First Step To Act On It

Do you feel like an expert in cycling even when if you have not touched your cycle in past six months? Would you say that you are good at golf if you have not swung your club once in past three months? Obviously not. Then how can you call yourself healthy when you have not of focused on health even once in the past one year?

Do not presume that you should visit the hospital only when you are ill. Visiting the hospital and getting a full body checkup done once in awhile is good to mentally prepare for a healthier life. Do you smoke? Don’t try to stop smoking. Instead, try to ensure that your body gets its daily quota of nicotine through alternative methods. Use nicotine patch for a short while.

Your body will react violently to the change. Try to withstand it. This will help you withstand the pain that your body suffers when you are exercising in the gym. You think you cannot afford our full body checkup today? Do you have a major project deadline and office? Do you feel that the changes will affect your career?

Why don’t you spend our time maintaining your health records better? Why don’t you keep track of each and every illness that you have suffered in the past twelve months? Prepare a file and store it properly. Convert it into electronic records if possible.

The idea is to do something that will tell your mind that you are focusing on your health. Once you start thinking about your health, your mind will automatically rely on all its experiences to help you feel more health conscious.

Once you start these activities, you will find yourself skipping the elevator and using the staircase without any doubt or hesitation. You will opt for a veggie sandwich instead of an oily hamburger and will get praise from all your colleagues during the office party. The idea is to start thinking about it. Action will follow automatically later on.
